It took me about a week to launch my new website but here it is! Selecting photos, videos and all other materials was a very fun process. It obviously made me reflect -- I have met and worked with so many great musicians and friends. I can't thank them and my family enough to be supportive. I am VERY lucky to be where I am and certain that I will meet many enthusiastic musicians, supportive staff, fans etc. No matter what anyone says, I believe I'm in the greatest business! Doing what I love is one biggest reason but meeting and collaborating with other musicians and then sharing our music with audience.
While creating the "teaching" page, I thought of the many students I have worked with in Connecticut, New York, Chicago and at Camp Encore/Coda. I have always been lucky and blessed with hard-working, talented and adorable students everywhere I have taught. Thanks to them, their parents and music school and camp staff! Teaching has been a big part of my musical and personal life. Currently I am teaching 25 students and all of them are making great progress each week. Please check back on this blog; I will post "achievement award" entries.
I'll try to update my blog as often as I can. It's going to be mostly about music that I'm working on, my crazy love for great composers, and what inspires me (music, food and photography). Also I will occasionally write "answers" to FAQs that I get from audience and students. Like, what's in your violin case? (I'm serious. I get this question often) How do you decide your recital repertoire? How many hours do you practice? Who is your most favorite violinist? Composer? (this I can just reveal my answer in three words -- Beethoven and Mozart).
Thanks for visiting my website and blog!
