Congratulations to all who participated in the concert at Atria!
Toko Takeda
Jovita Li
Yuri Maeno
It was great to have them even though they only had less than 10 days to work on new ensemble pieces and prepare to perform their solo pieces.  But they learned that when given an opportunity to perform they have to take the challenge and prepare themselves. You should never take performance opportunities for granted! That was something OPUSFEST students reminded me during the festival.

The audience at Atria was very welcoming. I hope to go back there again. They also suggested we could do open rehearsals there. Many many thanks to the staff members, too!

Congrats to Charlie Schwartz; she finished Suzuki book 1 on June 12. As I always guide my students to book 2 after finishing up No.15 or No.16 of book 1, she worked on the first few pieces of book 2 this semester. Charlie performed many pieces from book 1 and she told me multiple times that she loved the repertoire from book 1.

I hope she will continue enjoying book 2!

Student recitals at Long Ridge Music Center is this Sunday, June 23.  The repertoire from my studio includes Accolay's violin concerto in a minor, Böhm's Perpetual Motion, Schumann's the Two Grenadiers , and many more. Keep working hard, everyone, for another successful performance!
